Teapot 2.2

Hi!

Been trying several ROMs and since the Sense-Like 2.2 felt so "easy going", I wanted to try it but without all the HTC Sense looking. Anyone knows where I can download that ROM? I tried from the Serbian forum but needed to register and I couldn't do it :(

Yes, it's a very good 2.2 but I had some trouble with the Goggles and the Youtube apps, couldn't remove or update them.

OK, everything is looking ok. It's very similar to the Ricky 2.2 ROM, is it based on that ROM or directly from a 2.2 stock ROM?

its a stock port but i think i put the same kernel as ricky and used his egl drivers since i had problem with those, cant really remember, so yeah it might give that similar feel

OK, everything going just fine with this ROM but I want to know how can I patch the several zip files that add the different icons and such (the several teapot zip files). I tried from CWM but it didn't worked.

I had a lot of problems with the Android 2.2 ROMs by Ricky and Equiliym, is this tea pot any better or built from the same source??

Problems include:

- hard lockup when using 3rd party camera software i.e. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera

I cannot record h.264 640x480 video with aac audio it crashes badly so much so the battery needs ejecting to reset the racer.

- certain rtsp video streams play with no audio - http://m.tvcatchup.com/ is one site that won't play correctly.

I believe this problem exist with live real-time streams only not streaming from saved media files.

- audio does not work with certain apps like - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speaktoit.assistant using the "iSpeech" engine.

Apparently speaktoit downloads and plays 16KHz sample mp3 files they don't play because they are unsupported for some bizarre reason.

Is tea pot better or same??

For the audio issue you need to disable stagefight into build.prop to fix it. It is a bug in android 2.2

you mean the themes? those are casual apk files, just install and set theme in launcher settings.. if you mean the morphs, you need to install an app named metamorph and apply with it
