Guest mcwarre Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003    See this reply from Ora Customer Services about the Keyboard Drives ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To: "'Mick Warren'" Cc: Subject: RE: Unhappy Customer The information given to us by Orange was that, the realease of this product has been delayed by Orange. To contact Orange directly call 0800 80 10 80 and hold for an operator. Our apologies for any inconvenience. Kind Regards -----Original Message----- From: Mick Warren Sent: 04 April 2003 17:11 To: [email protected] Subject: Unhappy Customer PRODUCT NAME: SPV Fabric Keyboard Fabric keyboard for your SPV. Adds full QWERTY keyboard to your SPV and folds neatly when not in use. NOTE : This product requires ROM update - available from "Orange Update" site imminently. Grateful if you would define 'imminently'. Orange no nothing about it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spoke to 156 about it. They denied knowledge of a Keyboard. I then asked them to speak to their own accessories people who are taking orders for it. They came back sheepishly and said 'err, Ora are making it for us and it is upto them to write the drivers.' When I told them of Ora's reply (above) he said 'I am sorry that is all I am allowed to tell you'. AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! If the driver update is going to be late, fine. No one seems to be taking responsibility for it. Just tell us who is responsible and when it will be released.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Update should be here by the end of the month ~apparently~...
Guest mcwarre Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Just received this from Ora, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mick The drivers have been developed by HTC and Orange. We understood they would be released on 1st April. I have since today found out that they will be released tomorrow ( 8th ). Forgive me. I cannot find out what held up the release and I cannot be sure that it will be tomorrow. It is Orange that need to release the drivers for download. You will love your keyboard we just need a few more days patience from you. Please forgive the whole chain of companies that have brought this product to market. Kind regards -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hopefully..... If anyone sees any flying pigs please let me know.
