Guest Verhaaltjes Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Recently I tried to install a very stupid application on my Skate, but Google Play stated that it was not compatible and refuses to install it. Although looking at the specs it supports from Android 2.1+ so my MokeeOS (which is GB so 2.3) should be compatible. The only thing I can think of is that it just not armv6 compatible, but I have no clue since Google Play is not telling me why it is not compatible. Is there any way to know what I need? Willing to try some other ROMs to get it working, but not too willing to try 7-8 different ROMs if it is a hardware limitation that prohibits the install. So in general: if Google Play says "not compatible" is there: 1) Any way to still get it and try it anyway? 2) Any way to know why it says so? Thanks.
Guest omegavesko Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Just find the apk somewhere and install that.
Guest ukgnome Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Depends on the app. For instance the rbs banking app isn't compatible because the phone is rooted.Which app is it?

This one? https://play.google....nRlclBhcmNzIl0. It will never work on the ZTE Skate because it needs a ARM v7 processor and the Skate has a ARM v6.

I never saw that, or did I overlook something?

Guest Verhaaltjes Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 Okay, definitely overlooked that one. Have a version of Adobe AIR running on my Skate, but without the APK no sense in even trying. Thanks for your assistance!
Guest Nofan Tasi Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 fwiw some apps are restricted geographically the marketenabler app fakes other location so one can install app anyway
