Guest lcotton Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Apologies if this is a repost. Is it possible to send emails with attachments from the SPV (specifically picture jpegs)? And if so how? Tried looking in the manual but doesn't mention anything about this. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 You'll need to buy IA-Album or download SmartExplorer if your phone is de-certified (see my site). Both allow you to send files with email.
Guest cybercamel Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 You can send an MMS to an email address, but I think it will cost you the standard 40p! Just put in the email address instead of the phone number.
Guest yatpeak Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 But if you're sending a lot of them, I'd suggest you buy IA Album, as opposed to paying 40p a message! Wyatt
Guest cybercamel Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I've just downloaded smartexplorer and managed to use it to send an email with an attachment, success!!!!! But, and a big but, I have installed Orange's Picture Manager, so everytime I use the camera the picture goes there! So how do you send a photo as an attachment from Picture Manager using Smartexplorer, is it possible? :?
Guest madu Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 it stores them to IPSMMy Documents or ... IPSMMy DocumentsMy Pictures
Guest cybercamel Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I've got nothing in My Pictures or My Documents, they all go straight to Picture Manager. I was hoping that I might be able to cut and paste, but I can't do that either!
Guest madu Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 well, pic manager stores them _somewhere_ so thay have to be as a file on phone. try searching in explorer for that picture name...
Guest cybercamel Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Right, sorry, sorted! Found them on the starage card. Thanks for your help!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 For others who don't know where to find them they are located it Storage CardMy DocumentsMy Pictures You can also get IA-Album to place them there now as well
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 You'll need to buy IA-Album or download SmartExplorer if your phone is de-certified (see my site). Both allow you to send files with email. Or you can try SmartAttach  http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=98578 A version of SmartAttach will be available soon for locked phones.
