Guest VodaSPV Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 GPRS used to work absolutely fine on the SPV with Vodafone UK. But all of a sudden when attempting to connect to GPRS the phone comes up with a notification 'Error: Unable to place call'. Has anyone else experienced this? It is very annoying to have GPRS enabled and not getting it to work. Any replies will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

If the centre G on you phone re-appears then you have successsfully completed an IMSI attach to your serving GPRS node. That is, you still have access the to GPRS network. Its possible that Vodaphones gateway GPRS node is down as this is where all your GPRS calls are routed. If you can't get any GPRS services to work then this is more than likely. No doubt you'll probably find that service restores by itself. If not give voadaphone a call and ask is there are any known faults.
