replacing (really delete) stock phone app with another

Hi.

There are a few dialer apps out there.

What happenes, when the stock phone app is deleted and a dialer app (Touchpal Contacts) is put into the system/app folder?

Is phoning still working or not?

pretty sure the contact application is serperate to the phone application but if it works when you install it on top of stock then it should work as default, just nandroid backup first.
