Guest gifgaff Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 would this http://bestbattery.biz/Extended%20battery%20for%20Huawei%20Ascend%20U8815%203.7V%203600mAh work on my huawei g300 because it says compatible u8815 but they sell another battery this one http://bestbattery.biz/Extended%20battery%20for%20Huawei%20Ascend%20G300%20M660%20U8815%203.7V%201800mAh which says for the g300 but is less powerful is the u8815 battery compatible?
Guest Hans Gruber Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) Looks like they're both compatible but the 3600mAh one comes with a new back cover, presumably to take the larger sized battery. Actually if you click the photo it shows the new back cover with the bulge in it Edited August 9, 2012 by Hans Gruber
Guest gifgaff Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 i bought the smaller 1800 battery so i can still use my phone case
Guest carstenheuer Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 i bought the smaller 1800 battery so i can still use my phone case are you sure?
Guest wwwjunk Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 is the 1800 battery the same size as the original 1500? i need to try a new battery. my phone lasts 15 hours with very light usage.... even with 99+ sleep time it wastes 6-7 % per hour...
Guest anything-but Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 As i use my phone a lot during the day for work (gps, maps, browsing, watching vids and such...) battery life was a issue for me,so instead of getting a replacement,i bought a 6000mAh battery pack from here... http://www.maplin.co.uk/6000mah-portable-power-bank-for-mobile-devices-625614 £25,comes with various connectors.....usb/micro usb and others....keeps all my equipment charged throughout the day. :)
Guest wwwjunk Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 That's cool, but i really need to test another battery. Mine must be in bad shape. Don't want to send to warranty because i don't want to be without phone for a few days. Also 1800 would be a little better than 1500 ;) I had an LG P500 (1500 also) and battery would last forever. Now it really sucks to charge twice a day. If i could find a battery in Portugal i would buy without thinking, but as i must buy from outside, it would be better to know what i'm buying. Any alternatives to that 1800 in Europe? More to choose is always better, and i don't want to buy a battery with no quality.
Guest toge64 Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 did anyone buy batteries from ebay? eyeing up this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Q733-2X-Battery-Charger-USB-AC-For-Huawei-Ascend-G300-U8815-U8818-M660-HB5N1H-/230817035269?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35bdc47405#ht_734wt_952 just wondering if anyone got one.

That's a bloody good deal, I would buy them instantly if I was in UK. Go for it and then report, they are not really expensive. 2 batteries and charger for nine pounds, that's cool. Edit: Seems they are shipping worldwide, I am gonna jump in and then give you my experience. It's only 10,6 pounds with shipping to my country Edited August 15, 2012 by Umrtvovacz

As for the charger, glowed for a second, burnt out, trashed.

Yeah, I don't need any battery right now, the original one is quite fine... I am just saying it's a good price for two batteries.

Beware when delivery time exceeds or takes most of PayPal complaint period. I've had sellers use up my PayPal complaint period without me realizing.

I bought one of those. One of the two batteries didn't work at all. The other works, but has less life than the genuine battery. I haven't yet worked out by how much, but i'd guess it's between 50% and 75% of the genuine battery. After about 2 weeks, during which I'd probably only used it 6 or 7 times, it went bang. I also bought the same charger for my Blade. That too went bang... Don't get your hopes too high about the quality of these things. The ebay vendors have promised to send me new ones however.
