Guest Simon Desser Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 If you've been using Speed Reader Plus, and then use a Task Manager to "Quit Non System Apps" then Speed Reader Plus won't run again until you re-boot the phone. I'm not aware of any other programs that do this, at worst they'll just take a few seconds longer to load. Is this a serious bug with Speed Reader? I regularly quit non system apps to keep the phone running sweet.
Guest Shuflie Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 Speedreader runs as a process as well as an app, if you want to restart it again you will need to kill the speedreader process too.
Guest Simon Desser Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Excellent  Thanks for that, works a treat now :!:
Guest Shuflie Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 No problem, perhaps the next version of Taskmanager could have an option to kill non essential processes as well as non sys apps?
Guest DigitalNome Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Speed Reader Plus is now task manager friendly. The new download should be available next week 4-16-2003 after the files get signed. I will let ya know when it is available.
