Guest Severum Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Hi guys i am a bit of a newbie when it comes to phones but i have a skate to which i have installed the ice armor III+ rom and it works fine for everything apart from the fact that when i connect it to my computer i get a "please insert disk in to drive i" message. I have tried many different drivers which i followed links from posts on here and i have tried with usb debugging enabled and disabled on my handset. I have also tried the handset on windows7 64 and xp32. I managed to connect to xp once to copy all the files over to my sd card for programming the rom but now i get the same insert disk message. Is it a setting i have overlooked or is the rom possibly not compatible with the drivers i have tried?
Guest C3C0 Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Maybe a stupid question but have you enabled USB mass storage on phone? You have to pull down status bar and click on USB notification. It will ask you to enable mass storage.
Guest Severum Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the reply. I think you have answered my question but it has created another one... My status bar is hidden and i cant find a way to unhide it. All i have on my screen is the background wallpaper and three icons contacts/menu/internet. So i cant get to see the option to enable mass storage. I think i might have to go back to a stock rom, but thanks for your help. All sorted switched my phone right off. cold boot and i now have a status bar and a sd card i can access. Edited August 15, 2012 by Severum
