Guest Amber2009 Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Hi folks Hope someone can help a newbie. I bought a bluetooth device which acts as a control unit for headphones. the first one was faulty, so i bought another (ta, amazon!). Problem is the Ascend still has the first device listed in its wireless & networks / bluetooth devices list, so while it will pair & connect with the first, dodgy unit (its going back tomorrow) it won't pair / recognise the second one that should be ok. How do I get the Ascend to remove the first unit from its listings, so I can pair with the one that works? many thanks Amber
Guest samjam Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 From the home screen click menu, settings, wireless/Bluetooth the you can remove the device from there
Guest Amber2009 Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 I've been trying to use this approach, but if I press on the device it tries to connect. If I do a long press it offers to unpair, but it is still on the list once unpaired, so its not permitting another device of the same name to be paired. I want a "device manager" option, really, which I can't find thanks for your help

Guest Amber2009 Posted August 24, 2012 Report Posted August 24, 2012 It worked! Many thanks for your help In case anyone is interested, it was the SD Soundwear bluetooth device (from Amazon), which you can plug any headphones or speaker into to. Nifty for £15

Guest samjam Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 With ics it is the same screen that lists paired USB devices. Systems settings, Bluetooth
