Hi , today i was running a MIUI ROM , and i tried to get rid of it and revert to a Stock version of my

ZTE Skate .

So to get rid of the MIUI ROM i've gone to the Recovery Mode and Wiped the data and cache , plus among with formatting every single stuff , even boot , cache , dalvik , sd-ext etc..... I was doing good until i've completed the installation and setup of the Stock ROM , when i've setup the Market it updated ONLY the Google Search app.

And that's when stuff just got worse , it only updated 1 app , and there was more 4 updates to do 2 required manual update but the other 2 which is automatic updates it only updated the Google Search bar , when i tried to update the others it downloaded but it failed to install it , (Only downloaded and not installed) it's like skipped .

It happen again , most likely that "Play Store - Bad memory when installing apps" post that i've created , and i can't get pass through that in Stock ROM's the Market comes built-in the Stock ROM (B22-USA) from ZTE.

If someone could help me out , i will bring you a beer :D

UPDATE : I think it's limited memory that i got , i checked my Memory Usage in the Settings menu , and the memory was 20MB's out of 218 MB's

Like I said in your previous topic, Check your Cache size. It's recommended to have *at least* 35MB Cache on any non Cyanogen mod based rom. Use the command "df -h" in the Terminal Emulator on your phone and look for anything to do with Cache size.

You can only change your cache size through TPT'ing your phone. I would recommend the v1a TPT. Or if you really wanted, go and find the Stock Rom TPT and flash that. It will solve all your problems for you and will return your phone to its factory condition.

The market needs a decent cache size to download and install things (That includes updates). It doesn't matter with roms based on Cyanogen Mod because that, by default, redirects cache to the sd card anyway.

I've done the extra legwork for you and got the link to all the STOCK TPT roms (http://forum.xda-dev...392&postcount=2). You might need to convert them with this tool: http://www.modaco.co...ratorextractor/

EDIT: If your memory usage was that low, you'd be getting a notification from Android saying 'Low disk space' or something. Might be a reason for downloads to not install. But it doesn't solve your problem of apps not downloading, which you talked about in your previous post.

Sorry to be a bother CavemanJames , but can you provide a more simplified instructions , to how to revert my Skate to it's stock condition ?

But anyways thanks for your help i will try that ;)

NOTE : Also i've searched an website which contains Stock ROM's with full updates , and i've applied the ZTE-USAB22 and that problem happens again

Depending on the version of the ZTE Skate you have (Orange Monte Carlo etc.) go to that link with all the stock TPT roms and find the version that suits you. It should be easy enough to find it (read the info under the links on each one. Look at the ro.product.model field in particular). OUK_P743TV1.0.0B18.zip is the stock Orange (UK) rom and GB_TME_P743V1.0.0B07.zip is the stock ZTE skate (unbranded) rom. OPT_P743TV1.0.0B09.zip is the Optimus Monte Carlo stock rom for Portugal, I believe. Any of those links underneathe each one are just different mirrors to the same file. Also, download the .zip in the second link.

Note: "app" refers to the TPTGeneratorWPF.exe file that is in the zip file in the second link in my last post.

Anyways:

1) Once you've downloaded the stock rom of choice, extract both of them to separate folders with an app like 7zip or winrar

2) Go into the Gen2_TPT folder and open the TPTGneratorWPF.exe application

3) Top right of the application (ZTE Blade Gen2 TPT Generator), you'll see a button titled "Select Folder". Click that and navigate to the folder of the stock rom you extracted. Select OK to open that folder in the app.

4) The app should list a bunch of files ending in .mbn and/or .img as well as showing a new 'Build image' button at the bottom.

5) Click the Build Image button, and save it anywhere you want on your computer as 'image.bin'

6) Once that's done, plug your phone into your computer and enable Mass Storage on your phone. Make a new folder on the ROOT of your SD card (First window when you open the SD card in 'My Computer') called 'image' (Exactly as that. No capital letters. No quote marks.)

7) Open this new folder and place that image.bin file you created earlier in here.

8) Once the transfer's complete, disconnect your phone and turn it off.

9) Now press and hold VOL UP + MENU + POWER on your phone. Your screen should show a green bar going across the screen. Wait for this to finish. Your phone should restart.

You just successfully returned your phone to the factory condition. You will need to root the phone again and install Clockwork Mod, but that's not too hard. Follow Wacky.ddw's pinned guide for installing Clockwork Mod on Windows. (http://www.modaco.co...dated-26-02-12/)

Read that guide and install anything through the Windows method. The guide itself should explain everything clearly and as easily as possible.

Try downloading it from the hotfile website. Did you extract that .zip file of the stock rom you downloaded? I just downloaded it and TPTgeneratorWPF.exe created the image file for me perfectly fine.
