CoPilot satnav freezing regularly

this is not my phone so bit tricky to give details but i'll try.

CoPilot is freezing after approx 30-40 minutes

phone is otherwise usable (can take calls etc afterwards, can press Home to go to launcher ok) also CoPilot seems to work later without restarting phone.

Basically it just stops updating, app freezes.

There may be some error message, trying to get her to write this down for me.

my first thought was this was a GPS problem, but could it be a memory management problem?

the ROM is the tillaz hack/mod BEFORE AtomicMod, the one you applied over Paul's deodexed.

is it worth upgrading to ICS? is Infusion a good idea? or will ICS make things worse, anyone with CoPilot and a G300 know please?

that's a fairly major operation and won't have time before next week so would like some ideas before i start backing up/restoring etc. thanks!

planning to update to Infusion probably, will report back if that helps (i see references to RAM management in there..).

I use CoPilot, I did a 600 mile trip over the last two days, no problems whatsoever (apart from the stupid traffic info in CoPilot talking complete crap) I use the leaked B934 ROM, and not Tillaz's version if that helps.

hmm thanks not sure whether to wait for official OTA ICS, or try Infusion.. if i try Infusion and still get freezes, i won't know if they are caused by the scripts in that ROM..

Why not try the Huawei B934 ROM, it works fine?

did you use CoPilot on G300 with a Gingerbread ROM?

i'm unsure about ICS.. overall, does it create or solve more memory problems? my guess is, it leaves less for apps.. ?

A couple of times, and I did get the very 'odd' freeze, not regular, but I do remember one or two, I had to pull the battery to unfreeze the phone

I used Copilot regularly on B888 Gingerbread ROM, no issues at all.

I've recently (last night) switched to B934 Infusion, just doing the B02 update on it, but have yet to try Copilot out.

FYI, which version of Copilot are you using? I use the paid for Copilot Live UK+Ireland (I think that's the full name).

There is a free version too, which has a white icon.

any ideas what could be causing freeze? other apps? some config somewhere? no other problems with phone afaik.

part of problem is i haven't seen it myself.. apparently the app just stops updating position or responding..
