Guest betasergio Posted August 24, 2012 Report Posted August 24, 2012 http://m.gsmarena.co...eria_j-4930.php Have a look at this link. Is it possible to this mobile to have in a futureQualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon and Ice cream sandwich working completely. If yes does it mean that our devices will support ICS?¿
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted August 24, 2012 Report Posted August 24, 2012 That chip is armv7. We have the armv6 MSM7227. So no.
Guest omegavesko Posted August 24, 2012 Report Posted August 24, 2012 (edited) The MSM7227A does already run ICS. That's the chip the G300 has, and the G300 has official ICS. However, our phones have an entirely different chip, the MSM7227. The names are similar, but the MSM7227A is much more powerful, and is ARMv7 as opposed to our ARMv6. That said, our chip is also obviously capable of running ICS and Jelly Bean, but only through custom ROMs, as ZTE aren't interested in updating the Skate past gingerbread.
