Guest RussellS Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 Since updating to ICS (any rom) I've found that apps that use the Adobe Flash Player are stuttering badly and have terrible lip sync problems. Specific apps I'm refering to are BBC iPlayer and ITV Player which worked fine on Gingerbread. I've seen various posts on other forums regarding poor Flash performance since updating to ICS but never any explanation as to why this is happening. Is it due to the Flash Player just not working well on ICS or is it that ICS uses more of the phones resources and there is not enough left for Flash to run smoothly. I assume that if it is Flash Player not working well with ICS then it will probably never be resolved. So we will then just have to wait for the iPlayer to be re-written without requiring Flash.
Guest b4da55 Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 Wondering if this is same reason huawei don't use ics camera ie: opengl/hw acceleration.
Guest Hogweed Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 (edited) What version of Flash are you using? There is a different version for ICS than GB. If you use the GB version you get flaky performance. At least that's what I've seen stated in previous threads. I'm still on GB. According to Adobe the latest ICS version is Flash Player 11.1.for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.17) and for GB Flash Player 11.1 for Android 2.x and 3.x (11.1.111.16) All versions available for download at http://helpx.adobe.c...r-versions.html Edited August 25, 2012 by Hogweed
