Guest Chrisjuchniewicz Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 First of all, I am a noob when it comes to Android in general. So please forgive me if I posted in the wrong section of the forum or I didn't give enough information. now we got that out of the way... Hello, I recently picked up the Pantech Burst from AT&T. It's a nice phone that's running Android Version 2.3.5. I rooted it within two weeks of getting it. Because I rooted it, I want to now install a custom ROM. I've tried to follow some tutorials, but none of them seemed to help me. Each one i looked at told me to download ROM Manager and use the Clockworkflash Mod. When I tried to use it, it asked me to confirm my device on the list. However, my device wasn't on the list. Is there anyway to do this without using this specific tool? Are there any alternatives? A few more questions.. How do I know which ROM I can use on my phone? Does it only matter which Android Version i'm using, and not the specific device? Can somebody please introduce me to some good ROMs? Just incase any of this information helps.... Model Number: PantechP9070 Android Version: 2.3.5 Baseband Version: M9200B-SCAQCSZD-3.0.552116T 1 [Nov 15 2001 19:00:00] Kernel Version: 2.6.35.11-perf p13684bs195 #1 Build Number: GRJ90 Board and Software Version:MSM8600_SURF TP20 JUUS06252012 Thanks, Christopher
Guest Sebastian404 Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 The Pantech Burst is a nice enough device, very nice for $50. This forum is very UK/Europe Centric tho, you might be better asking over on XDA, they seem to have a higher percentage of American posters
