Guest donaldboyer Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Hi all, apologies if this has already been posted. Huawei replied to a question I posted on their Facebook page. Looks like VFNZ customers will be getting official B936 at the middle of next week! http://www.facebook.com/HuaweiDeviceNZ/posts/404164082964265?notif_t=feed_comment Donald.
Guest 2saint4u Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 So. It's B936... not B963 as it was mentioned in other post earlier. :(
Guest donaldboyer Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Seems that way. So how do I change from Infusion B934 to the new B936?
Guest Sonny Atwal Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Seems that way. So how do I change from Infusion B934 to the new B936? you can't, it says in the OP it is being released in the middle of next week. therefore it is not available yet. unless of course you own a time machine.

I don't own a time machine, but I'm going to be have of owned one later. Do I have to wait? I was planning on going to will have gone and get one for earlier if no-one hasn't of going to mind if I do have...

Poorly contrived sardonicism aside, you'll have to update via a package provided by someone here, who has received it OTA and repackaged it for others. Read about, updating ROMs manually is well covered.
Guest anything-but Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 So,as it`s now wendsday in NZ,the rom *might* be out sometime today if they keep to their word of "middle of the week". Anyone got a link to that NZ forum post as i can`t access it or sign up to the forums, god knows why. :D
Guest PACOSH Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 i can`t access it or sign up to the forums, god knows why. :D i've heard that kiwis are in hiding now and u have to use proxy to get there

Guest anything-but Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Ah,i`d just ring my brother in NZ if i really needed "right now" info :P
Guest deuse Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 I see Huawei on facebook nz still won't answer the question has the G300 got HW acceleration.. Don't think I will be buying Huawei again...

Don't think I will be buying Huawei again... There are plenty of reasons not to accelerate everything. Even Samsung Nexus S does not accelerate everything.
Guest Caskarut Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 its on their nz facebook page I don't see anything new?
Guest deuse Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 I don't see anything new? http://www.facebook.com/HuaweiDeviceNZ half way down on the right. So the UK MAY have ICS this week.
Guest deuse Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 There are plenty of reasons not to accelerate everything. Even Samsung Nexus S does not accelerate everything. I wonder why that is? they designed to have HWA so why not use it.

Middle of next week onwards is today for NZ,so if the planets are in alignment, they may release it in the following few hours. (8am NZ atm).
Guest nsmacd1 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 New Zealand time - http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_NZ.aspx :D
Guest ahatomastarday Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 I wonder why that is? they designed to have HWA so why not use it. This has been discussed a few times before, just search in the forum a bit :) There's at least a thread that discussed this topic especifically with great detail (including links to Google's statements and clarifications about the issue, etc).
Guest Davidoff59 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Version may be B963 as that's what's been confirmed for Portugal I have read.
Guest timfimjim Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 But didn't the Vodafone rep for nz say it was b936? I really hope it is 963 though haha

Guest timfimjim Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Yep true. Fingers crossed. If it's still slower than gingerbread all hell will break loose...
