Hi guys,

So I stupidly updated to official Huawei ICS without installing CWM when i was in gingerbread, and now when I have followed some guides on the forums, none of them work. On Paul's method the Windows.bat file or whatever won't detect my phone, maybe it's something to do with the ADB drivers (but I have absoulety no idea what they are and how to get them) but for now, with no idea how to get CWM i'm stuck on huawei ICS with no Google Apps and I can't flash any roms without clockworkmod, when i try with the android recovery they don't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, if someone could set out instructions it would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Android SDK: Here's a dead easy guide:

[media=]

ADB Drivers for your phone.

Once you have the sdk drivers installed on your PC;

1. Put phone in debug mode.

2. while in debug mode, connect your phone to your PC via USB cable.

3. On your PC got to "Computer" and you should see a drive called "CD Drive" Mobile Partner" (Double Click it).

4. Goto: drivers/ adb_drivers, now copy the "Handset WinDriver.exe" to your desktop and run it.

Taken from here: http://www.modaco.co...-and-i-cant-do/

3. Installing Clockwork Mod Recovery.

Some users have had issues with flashing this so i have done some text editing of some of Pauls scripts for his root method to make a similar one click install for Clockwork Mod Recovery. I have bundled the latest version by Sebastian as of the 5th May 2012. So please first of all,

3a. Download this file first. Easy CWM Recovery Installer. Now extract the zip file to a suitable location. On your phone press Menu, Settings, Applications, Development. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled.

3b. Power off your phone and pull the battery. Replace the battery and power on your phone with the volume DOWN key pressed.

3c. The same as Pauls root installing your phone will now stick on the Huawei logo. Plug in your USB cable.

3d. Same as Pauls still...

For WINDOWS - double click 'install-cwmrecovery-windows.bat'

For MAC - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-cwmrecovery-mac.sh' followed by './install-cwmrecovery-mac.sh'

For LINUX - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-cwmrecovery-linux.sh' followed by './install-cwmrecovery-linux.sh'.

3.e When finished, you can put your device in recovery mode by turning off the phone, pulling the battery and USB cable, wait a few seconds, replace the battery then turn on with the 'volume UP' button pressed to enter recovery.

Note that to navigate the menus you use the volume keys and the home button makes a selection. Back obviously goes back.

After that you might want to upgrade to CWM 5 using a flashable zip.

Still not detecting :( what do i do after when running the handset win drivers? I feel like that's where i went wrong. Is there some sort of procedure to go through with the drivers after you have them that i'm not understanding?

delete the drivers and do the clockwork thing it should detect the drivers automatically.then it should work.

if you get the chance of using a win 7 32bit pc you will have no problems .so copy the stuff you have to a flash stick and try it on a another pc.
