Proximity Sensor issue (damaged screen)

hi everyone

I damaged my screen right on top of the proximity sensor, and I get a weird behavior of the phone when I call:

sometimes the screen stays on while I call (it doesn't bother me that much), but sometimes it stays off the entire time, so I can't end the call or do anything with the phone until the call ends itself.

Would you know any way to deactivate the proximity sensor or any other way to make my phone useable again?

I'm currently using Fish&Chips, would the use of CM9 help?

well, it seems that a calibration of the proximity sensor was enough.

Fyi, I found how to do it for the Fish&Chips ROM in the Blade Fish&Chips 3.2 topic. :D
