Hi all,

Recently purchased a Huawei G300 have it unlocked to use my tesco sim however would like to remove the awful vodafone apps and upgrade to the most current software I believe this is ice cream sandwich. I did recently try to upgrade however it went wrong and wouldn't load the new software. I managed to get the phone replaced and I am now slightly hesitant to try again.

Could someone please kindly take me through step by step in laymens terms how to upgrade to the latest and most efficient ROM.

I am currently running the slightly upgraded vodafone software -

Android Version 2.3.6

Baseband Version 109808

Build Number U8815V100R001CO2B892

Cheers

The official Vodafone ICS will roll out not too soon = by the end of the year, I surmise Vodafone ICS is ROM B934 + Vodafone bloatware.

As you are already on GB B892, go to http://www.modaco.com/topic/355873-guidepossibly-a-new-rom-downgrade-upgrade-tool-found/ download and install this tool (downgrade upgrade .zip) then go to http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDY1MTg= download and install ICS B934.

You will not need to root as there are little or no bloatware included with this ROM.
