Do newer models come with newer roms?

Mine came with 2.3(I think), I was wondering if I was to get it replaced, would it have a newer ROM? Just wondering in terms of doing backups etc. I'd rather have 4.0 I guess, if it's better.

only had mine for a month... but it was still the first rom (although it then did prompt for some OTA updates)...

I think the fact that updates are pushed out automatically means they don't feel the need to update them before they stick them into the box

I never actually tried updating mine. What's the latest official version of android available? Is it easier to update than with Clockworkmod etc.

if it gb then it should be easier ,if its ics then a little harder but not much harder.

Its892 on the phone, which is still Gingerbread. Dead simple to do, and unless you've already messed around on it with clockwork then there's no way to mess it up

ICS will be rolled out once voda finish whatever QA/Testing procedures they go through... however long that takes...
