As I'm sure you've heard huawei have released the G330, a phone with pretty much exactly the same specs as the G300 but it has dual cores and it comes with ICS out of the box. According to tech radar it'll be priced at about £150.

So is anyone tempted to get the G330 or sticking with the G300? Huawei have just caught up with ics and we have a near complete jellybean ROM, so I doubt the software will bother you. xD

I thought it had potential but I just cant get on with it no matter which Rom I use. It's going back.

Going to buy something a lot better for the same price even if it is 2nd hand.

Quadcore Zte Era may be worth waiting for, at around the £250 mark.

I don't think I will buy Huawei again.

The G600 will probably be about £250, that's an extra £150 not 50 :/

Yeah I also will be very sceptical about buying another Huawei...

I like my G300 and I would get another Huawei, but the next phone I purchase has got to be a Quadcore for a fairly reasonable price. The Quadcore Zte Era looks about right but I like to run my tec into the ground before I give up on it, so I'm not done with my Huawei just yet.

so the g330 will be 100 quid? do the math jhsaucy if the 330 is 150 gbp the 200 gbp g600 is only 50 more...it will be around the 200 price on a network as sim free it only costs €300 which is 235 gbp

Oh, I thought he meant the G300, and I was just rounding the other price up

well i would buy the g330 even if their was no support of roms but their is on the chinese sites .so im for 1 when i can get my hands on one, soon.

and have seen the price about 130 .i think the g600 will be a good buy also .

lol easy mistake to make jhsaucy ;) and wrtease I do think the g600 will be an interesting device if we get the same community round it as we have for the g300 :)

It's a shame for me though as I just bought the G300, hopefully this one isn't too different though

i don't think it will be much different apart from the CPU is different and more internal memory.i have a collection of stuff for it if it arrives in UK.i would get it that's for shure and the front facing camera .

will probably go straight for the g600 for an extra £50

I thought the G600 will be about £100 more?

Approx. £150 for G330 - £250 for G600.

once on a network the g600 will be subsidised to 200 quid. the g300 was between 130-160 sim free at launch but only 100 on Vodafone. I'm sure they will knock off the 35 quid from the sim free price to get the g600 to the 200 quid mark.

I am very sceptical about the ZTE Era, because it uses an Intel CPU. It may use too much energy, and it will certainly cause some compatibility issues (e.g. with Flash). The price is certainly a bit high, too. I wonder when the ZTE Blade II will become available, it sounds like a decent alternative, although nothing outstanding and a bit late.

As for Huawei, I wonder whether they have what it takes to deliver decent software. The comedy of errors we have seen makes you wonder. Unfortunately that is true for a lot of Android manufacturers - Motorola certainly comes to find, and even Samsung has a history of rather awkward software solutions.

When did they say there swapping a tegra 3 for a Medfield lol?

The grand x is getting a tegra chip, but the Era will be quad core unless you have read differently and its recently changed.

Looking at it though, Era is taken from tEgRA

zte era is 100% using tegra 3... that's why this price is low (kia-platform)

i'm more interested in this now, to tell the truth...

Tillaz, if the screen is 5 inches, how big is the phone as there is space over and below the screen. Are we talking pocketable?

Some great specs there

here are the dimensions

Body size: 129mm*65mm*6.9mm flat, with no protruding

i would Imagen its smiler sized to the galaxy note, but quite a bit thinner.

Wow, that looks awesome! But surely it won't come to UK? And if it does it would be more than £250??
