Guest Saparasa Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Ok, i'm on stock ICS B927 and want to root and unlock the bootloader on my phone, however when i run the unlockbootloader.exe (both with admin permission and without) and click "ROOT Your Phone" it displays a message saying "Copy Files To Phone...", this is really frustating as i can't find a way of rooting other than this. And yes i have got USB debugging enabled and the adb drivers installed correctly. Any help or a VERY SIMPLE alternative method to rooting would be appreciated, im new to all this stuff and was surprised i even got it upgraded to ICS without killing the phone xD
Guest Davidoff59 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 http://androidsu.com/superuser/ if you have cwm recovery, diwnload and flash these.
Guest Saparasa Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Don't you need to be rooted to flash cwm?
Guest seb.l Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Maybe try this, here the aswer of elperroderoke when i had the same problem. "you updated to B926 and then updated to B934 using the .zip flashable package without format /system, and/or MAYBE you have flashed the ICS gapps (not needed because are included in B934) too before you Rooted. Any way, the /system is so full that is imposible to write anything on it. Make sure you have made a Wipe data/factory reset and very important, you go to "Mount and storage" and you "Format system" before you flash the zipped Rom . You don't need to flash the Gapps. Regards. "
