Guest MaxFun42 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Running AtomicMod ROM on ZTE Skate. After installing latest update for GO Launcher EX this morning, handset reported update was unsuccessful and to click link to uninstall. Uninstall also reported as unsuccessful and crashed handset. Rebooted but handset now sticks at "Android" boot screen indefinitely. Have rebooted into CWM (v5.5.0.4) but although main menu comes up, all buttons are unresponsive within CWM and can't do anything with it. Any ideas out there please ?
Guest betterthanjordan79 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Are you sure your using CWM correctly using the volume up and down keys?
Guest MaxFun42 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Yes, both Vol + & -, Home, Menu & Back keys are unresponsive. Only the Power key works and lets me lock the screen.
Guest betterthanjordan79 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Id advise pushing on 4.0.1.4 again and seeing if that helps. http://www.modaco.com/topic/344820-09-aug-clockworkmod-recovery-4014-unofficial-modaco-edition-for-the-zte-skate/
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Boot into clockwork mod using vol+ home and power and the keys will work.
Guest MaxFun42 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Id advise pushing on 4.0.1.4 again and seeing if that helps. http://www.modaco.co...-the-zte-skate/ I would try that but can't get on the phone at all. It's stuck at the boot screen and not recognised thru USB via ADB either. While I can get into CWM, I can't get any functionality using the phone's keys so stuck on that as well.
Guest MaxFun42 Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Boot into clockwork mod using vol+ home and power and the keys will work. Excellent, thanks very much for your help. Still stuck on boot screen but at least now have CWM functionality.
Guest mogamycool Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) IF YOU FACE THAT AGAIN GET THE BATTERY OUT AND RETURN IT BACK THEN PRESS POWER ONCE OR TWICE AND AND USE CWM 5 COS I HAD TROUBLES BECAUSE OF 4 BEFORE Edited September 9, 2012 by mogamycool
