Guest JethroUK Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I want to buy a car charger for my G300 to use as sat nav I know sat navigator app drinks juice and lot of people report that some chargers are not up to it (wont keep it charged when using sat nav) Thought about buying Blackberry high-output charger but now I'm confused about the connector Always figured the G300 was a mini-usb (as per Blackberry) but it looks different Fishing around the net and I see mini-usb & micro USB are different Is G300 micro-USB ?
Guest wrtease Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) yes micro usb g300 ps you can pick up the cable at any pound shop eg discount uk poundland , Edited September 9, 2012 by wrtease
Guest Al_1604 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I can thoroughly recommend this one (I use a separate satnav so I find two USB outputs very useful): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Griffin-Compact-Charger-Mobiles-Others/dp/B0042B9U8Q (also available from many other retailers). I then use the USB cable that came with the phone.
Guest JethroUK Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Cheers for replies - Ordered this http://www.amazon.co.uk/ADVERTISING SPAM-Car-Micro-USB-Charger/dp/B002HMZGZS/ref=lh_ni_t Includes cable for £1.50 delivered
Guest Davidoff59 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 you will need at least a 1 amp charger it it will go flat while using satnav
Guest JethroUK Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) I'm not risking a lot at £1.60 but it does say "High charging efficiency" so ill give it a try Edited September 9, 2012 by JethroUK
Guest sedj Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I use this with the lead that comes with the phone: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GRIFFIN-POWERJOLT-TWIN-USB-DUAL-USB-CAR-CHARGER-iPHONE-BLACKBERRYS-SAMSUNG-ETC-/251003745247?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhoneAccessories_MobilePhoneChargers&hash=item3a70fd33df#ht_2629wt_1163 It does however interfere with the radio in the car? But it is supposed to charge faster than the likes of the belkin adapter.
Guest paddyponchero Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I'm not risking a lot at £1.60 but it does say "High charging efficiency" so ill give it a try Second review says" "Proper 1Amp car charger - supplies enough charge to (slowly) add additional charge with the GPS + mapping turned on."
