CyanogenMod 7.2 Final For Liquid A1/Liquid E

ROM V3 Features (XX/YY/12)

- IMPORTANT : Do a Factory reset (Wipe sd-ext, data, cache, dalvik, AND System !)

- IMPORTANT : Don't use InteractiveX as CPU governor

- Backported .35/.38 drivers (credits : lupohirp)

- Improved 3D performance (credits : lupohirp/Ainillia)

- New Memory killer code/VM/RAM Management (credits : lupohirp)

- New audio engine (Don't install DSP Manager, will FC !)

- Updated (G)Apps

- New Launcher (NOT Installed - Suggered)

- Updated libs

- ???

Note : Beta

ROM V2 Features (15/09/12)

- IMPORTANT : Do a Factory reset (Wipe sd-ext, data, cache, dalvik, AND System !)

- Kernel "bugs" solved and verified (credits : lupohirp)

- 200MB System partition (credits : lupohirp)

- App2SD is working now

- Removed Link2SD

- Beats Audio Reworked - Better Audio

- Reworked call system - voices should be clearer and more precise

- Themes should work correctly, otherwise use GO Launcher EX Themes

- Updated some apps

ROM V1 Update 1 Features (13/09/12) :

- It's AN UPDATE, so flash it over my ROM ! DON'T WIPE ANYTHING.

- New Kernel (Fixed huge memory leak, say thanks to lupohirp !)

- New File Manager, ported from MIUI (picked it on xda and modified, don't update)

- New Launcher (A bit annoying upon start, see "Notes and Tweaks" below)

- File Manager

- Improved battery when screen is off

- "Skull" BootAnimation (can be changed)

- Decreased boot time

- Disabled some logs

- Hardware accelerated/GPU

- I don't know, forgot things, maybe..

What is working ?

All, excepted removed services, see "Addons"

Known Bugs

- MIUI Camera can FC sometimes, upon start, or after a video recording.

- BootLoop can be caused by CWM, or bad wiped device, please follow instructions on installing TWRP...

- Microphone vol, in the recording app, seems ultra low in this app.

"How-to" install

  1. Download the ROM, and some addons, if you want (read description)
  2. Reboot to recovery (TWRP preferred ! CWM can cause bugs)
  3. Optional step if already done : Create sd-ext2/4 partition and a swap partition (128-256MB)
  4. IMPORTANT : Do a Factory reset (Wipe sd-ext, data, cache, dalvik, AND System !)
  5. Flash ROM file, then addons if any.
  6. Read output
  7. Reboot
  8. Follow Extra notes Below

yes i can play and record videos :) howewer before final release i've added two things: 1)disabled vsync 2)backported yaffs2 drivers from jb_chocolate this evening i will release kernel :) i

Notes and Tweaks

Notes :

- Upon first start, configure App2SD : Open LiquidParts, App2SD tab, click format and reboot when asked. After rebooting, return in the same tab,

then check "A2SD" (minimal A2SD, you can check other boxes if you want to port more things to SD)

- Upon second start (or more), you'll see widgets with a little green "download", theses widgets are not included because they are heavy and they

consume RAM.

These widgets are just samples, to remove them, long press on them a move them up to the bin.

There are also some "fake" apps in the app drawer : Appcenter, Gamezone, go store, go locker, go themes and go widgets.

Long press on one then delete them with the red cross box.

OR, you can install them...

Tweaks :

- To capture a video with more FPS, lock the Liquid @920MHz, or even @998Mhz. Above 998Mhz is bit more complicated, should play with SVS.

- In "Liquid Parts", App2SD tab :

  • SDCard ReadHead : Change to 2048.
  • Swappiness : Change to 20, moreless, if needed. Best is to uncheck "Swap" box (disable Swap).

- In "CyanogenMod settings/Performance/CPU Settings/avaliable governors", Choose : smartassV2. And chang freq. if you want.

DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING MORE IN "CyanogenMod settings/Performance", IT'S ALREADY SET AT BEST.

TWRP for Liquid A1/E :

Install it via GooManager app (http://goo.im/devs/s...nager_2.1.2.apk).

.

  • Users with CM9 or CM7.2 or MIUI v4
    • Download GooManager [Market] (or .apk above) and open it.

      • Click menu button, and select "Install OpenRecoveryScript" and answer yes to the questions.

For CM9, it takes some time, some of us are studying, respect them :) I made one, currently working on it. It works for the moment.

For TWRP, thepasto is working on a new version. See tomorrow.

For CM9 :

No, because currently it has too much frezees. Phone stop working and must pull out the battery. It boots, It works, but it froze too ! :blink: <_<

Download my last kernel from thepasto github(liquid chocolate repo-branch gingerbread)

i've fixed a huge memory leak occupied by wrong sizes of PMEM and ADSP now i have 213 mb of ram instead of 188. i must test this patch also on ics (i don't explain why we have only 162mb). also i've fixed problems of a2sd now it works. also add in your device/acerblabla/prebuilt/init.salsa.rc these lines to enable ksm

# Enable low memory killer to check file pages

write /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfile 0,0,0,4632,5632,6144

write /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/check_filepages 1

# lowmem killer minfree adjustments

You need to download Root explorer, to access /system/media. Now all you have to do is to change the bootanimation.zip file with your custom animation.

Tip: Mount R/W (Read/Write)
