Hi...

All my sounds that I associate with ringtone and notifications default back once I`ve plugged my phone into my pc ( to transfer stuff )

They were on my sd card.. I have transferred them to the internal sdcard.. still the same..

any ideas? will I have to copy them to the system partition?

thanks

A few other people are having this problem too...

A workaround is to copy your ringtones direct to the /system/media folder with a file manager/explorer (root access required)

This should fix the issue your having :)

I have tried moving ringtone files, and ended up making a mess. If you are transferring small amounts of data at a time, a good alternative is to use AirDroid to move things to your SD over wifi ( mp3's, and even some bigger files will transfer reasonably quickly).

I started using this when all of my album artwork was mixed up every time i dismounted my SD, and have found that dismounting your SD can also cause ringtones issues, so airdroid is a great alternative because it requires no SD card dismount.

Might be helpful.

Unfortunately that doesn't work for everyone, me being apart of that everyone, however I came up with a solution that works, but I think it only works for me  .

Ah interesting solution, good thinking. :)

As for your album art; well I personally embed all my alum art into the MP3 so I never have to worry about how an Operation system or app deals with the art.

I use a program on my PC called Tagscanner: http://dw.com.com/re...410c89ecd&dlm=0

Look it up on Youtube and then have a go yourself, it's really easy to use and once you've tagged your Mp3's then you never need to worry about album art again.
