Repack

Completely unmodified repack for CWM and other recoveries of the non-branded B940 OTA (which I think originated in Russia?) release for the U8815.

This means it isn't rooted, but you can root by simply flashing the Superuser ARM zip (not the su-bin one) from: http://androidsu.com/superuser/

Only flash on B926 and above.

CWM repack: http://g300.thebrona...repack-b940.zip 241MB

(md5sum: 61279c4470f531b6553ca78b3d4a902e)

Full update

This is a standard update.app that will take your device from any state to stock B940. This will lock your bootloader (which can of course be unlocked again), install the 2030 baseband and the B940 ROM.

Full update (update.app): http://g300.thebrona...001C203B940.zip 325MB

Thanks hok510 (Twitter) for giving me details. :D

At this rate, i am thinking we might actually end up with B963 as the UK version..what do you reckon?

Question:

Updating this from b936 (CWM flash) requires a full wipe (factory + batery + dalvik) or just a simple one (factory wipe)?

Regards.

You might not need to wipe at all.

Try without, if you get weird issues, do a wipe.

(The full wipe you described is done by a factory reset anyway so there's no difference between the two.)

What changes with this update?

Is possible downgrade to GB or ICS (< B940) after upgrade with this file?

Thanks! :)

this is exactly why i never re-based infusion...

No changes from B936 as far as I can see.

I just have Play Music, Security Guard, Chrome & Youtube reinstalled and that's the only difference I can see.

...And having to re-install about 50 apps, as a lot of them didn't survive the update!

Give it a day or two - We've only just finished the install!!! :D - Will report back if any bugs found, but it seems exactly the same as B936 so far

Anyone have a link to the default Vodafone boot animation from B936, as I'm not keen on the stock android one?
