UI not responding if o2 sim is fitted

Hi just got my phone really recently but have yet to unlock it, all the outlets online and ebay keep failing to produce a code, so i've been trialing various ROMs simless and currently have "Infusion". I fitted my o2 sim to my phone last night and with it fitted it boots up to sim lock screen and then i get UI not responding caption and the touch screen doesnt work. Any one got any ideas? when my code is found and i go to unlock it how will get it into my phone? Will i have to install a standard Vodaphone ROM? Thanks for taking the time to read this Chevy.

I'm no expert but I think it might have been wisest to unlock your phone before you tried to root it and install various roms.

Carrier Unlock Code will not work with Infusion.

best line of action

• make a back up of your current rom-CWM
  
• download a cwm repack of any ics rom with the baseband 2030(i would advise B934,because infusion is based on it)
  
• put it on your sdcard
  
• flash then rom and boot up
  
• remove battery and insert your o2 sim,
  
• replace battery and boot as normal
  
• once in,your phone should request the NUC code
  
• when prompted enter the code and you should be unlocked.
  
• once thats done. boot into recovery and restore your infusion backup

Thankyou to Mack for the advice, i was going to go back to gingerbread and start afresh, but instead i d/loaded the B936 repack and flashed using clockworkmod all is ok and was able to unlock my phone satis. Strange that infusion wouldn't allow the sim unlock, i did a bit of rom fiddling on my blade but dont profess to really understand andriod developing at all but what would Tillaz have changed to cause this lockup on a foreign sim?
