Guest Garyj881 Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 HI Guys, I have bee following the idiots guide HERE . I have rooted already, backed up my IMEI, installed the latest ICS and now at the stage where I need to re-root and install CWM. My problem is when I try to re-root the software doesn't see my device, I am guessing due to being on a newer baseband or something after the update has changed and is stopping the root. A screen shot of the error - Please help Also thanks beggin :D
Guest fuzzyy Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 You might be missing some drivers? I had that error and I solved it by installing drivers, though I've forgotten what they were.
Guest Garyj881 Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Yes, that's what I thought. Just need steering in the right direction.
Guest Dazzozo Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 The stock ROM mounts a "Mobile Partner" driver disk when you plug in the USB. You need to install those to use ADB. http://g300.thebrona...t WinDriver.exe if you just want a link to the exe.
Guest Garyj881 Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Thanks Daz but I already had it installed, re-installed any way, no change.
Guest Dazzozo Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Thanks Daz but I already had it installed, re-installed any way, no change. Is USB debugging turned on in the ROM?
Guest Garyj881 Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Is USB debugging turned on in the ROM? Yes, it is. I have just disabled it and re-enabled it and still no change.
Guest Garyj881 Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Any more ideas guys? Been scouring the net and running through the steps again but nothing :S
Guest Garyj881 Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) Ok, tried a different pc this morning and it worked :D I have manually put my apn settings in and can make calls, but I have not internet access (3G) any ideas?. Wireless is fine, and it's turned on. Edited September 17, 2012 by Garyj881
Guest Garyj881 Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Update: all sorted! When I entered my APN settings, it didn't like it. I had to put one line in at a time but exit and re-enter for every line for it to work. In the end I got there. Thanks Guys.
