help with upgrading rom

hi, so i not long baught this device and i am wanting to update it to ICS, but im having trouble getting it to uipdate, as update to official B926 always fails. i am on baseband 109808 and build number is U8815-51V100R001C346B893. also im in australia if that means anything. i have tried the downgrade/upgrade tool and it doesnt seem to work, more info on how to do this might be good. also tried the hack method but it didnt change anything, but may need to be clarified on what precisely to do... any help would be great. thanks

You don't say why/how/when your previous attempts failed but the "Explained like you're 5....." pinned thread gives a very detailed step-by-step guide & it worked flawlessly for me. I'd recommend you follow that; if you run into problems the author, beggin has been very good in providing support.
