Guest Skylip Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Hi, My phone is bricked and it won't come off the splash screen. I can't run into recovery mode, I can only run fastboot commands. Whenever I try to do something (install CWM, fastboot recovery) I get the message "Command not allowed" and I think it's because the bootloader is not unlocked. The only tutorials I find to unlock are using abd commands, but since the phone is bricked I can only run fastboot ones. Is there any way yo unlock it by using fastboot commands? Thanks
Guest kyan31 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 What did you even do to brick it anyway?
Guest Hogweed Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 If you can run fastboot commands I would think you could probably re-install a new ROM from scratch (Power + Vol+ +Vol-). Have you tried this?
Guest Skylip Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 What did you even do to brick it anyway? I installed a ICS version (all went well), then rooted it (all went well), then I used unlockbootloader.exe to unlock the bootloader and I waited for a eternity and nothing happened (in that moment it was saying "flash" something, maybe bootloader). I closed the program since it was stucked, then rebooted the mobile to see if something had went wrong, and it did. Now it only shows a splash screen. =\

Have you tried this? Yes, I did. I downloaded a original rom, placed it into a dload folder in the sd card, then tried it out but it always says update failed.
Guest Skylip Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 try unlockbootloader.exe I can't, it runs only on adb commands, right?

Have you tried the "middle package" update that usually solves this issue or failing that the bootloader version check over-ride IMEI patch? (Edit: Sorry you can't do the patch method if you can't boot but the middle package method should be possible.) Details http://www.modaco.co...ade-tool-found/ Edited September 19, 2012 by Hogweed
Guest tcpaulh Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I can't, it runs only on adb commands, right? I thought you had adb access. What happens when you try it?
Guest Skylip Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I thought you had adb access. What happens when you try it? When I list adb devices, it show's no devices, but if I list fastboot devices, it is listed. When I try to run it by unclockbootloader.exe if fails and tell me to check the drivers, but I think it's not the problem.

Guest Hogweed Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) I'll try it out! thanks. Some people have reported that if it doesn't work with the ROM of you choice, try other ROMs until you find one it likes. Fingers crossed for your first choice though! Guest Hogweed Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 try http://www.mediafire...qic18j4td1kbowi That won't work if he has a locked bootloader as he appears to have.
