Guest Frankish Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Save your moaning for the other 300 threads... Who is actually happy with ICS on their G300? I'm using Infusion and not had any real issue with it. Overclocked to 1.2ghz. It does what I need it too just waiting on daz to get Jelly bean stable he's a machine.
Guest b4da55 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I'm not hating it, its a big improvement in looks and ui is fast for me (infusion) there is a few little things that are a pain but its not a biggie and I'm more happy then not!
Guest psaras Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Happy with b934, work almost perfect for me.
Guest toge64 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I wasn't too happy with tillaz's ROM due to FCing when multitasking but switched to stock now and much happier :)
Guest Rico_89 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Happy with b934, work almost perfect for me. Same here. I'm running stock B934 and will most likely switch to English B936.
Guest fr0do Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Very happy with 940 stock. Speeds up with every boot lol. Haven't tried oc yet, so may get better, (or worse! :-) Daz found that ics actually ran better under clocked on another device). Not tried gaming yet, then I'm not into games. Plus being the kids won't get their greasy mitts on it B-)
Guest Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I am extremely happy with the infusion, It's running smooth, the battery is awesome, lasts 2 days and even more sometimes!
Guest bladebuddy Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I am happy to" would like to apologize to frOdo whose name came out deodorant for some reason on another thread" As previously said runs good 4 every day use had no reboots, GTA a reasonably heavy game runs well, everything seems quite smooth and on the whole o.k. The only problem is my contacts not always showing on a received call. Think I may have sorted it though. B490 using.

I'm playing Mass Effect Infiltrator and it works great on the G300, although so far there have been a few moments where the G300 has struggled so maybe I'll look into O/C, but gaming on a four inch screen works great. Anyway here's a Pic I took at the champions parade with the stock Huawei ICS camera. Olympic Pyramid; http://imageshack.us...20910150925.jpg Edited September 19, 2012 by Rico_89
Guest fr0do Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Haha :D no problem bladebuddy.. Somehow I knew you meant me! :)

Guest Cyda Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Since switching to b934 I have been pleased with ICS, b926 and b927 were ok but b934 is pretty good for me. Infusion and an overlock kernel make it just that bit sweeter. To be honest I am pretty happy with the phone and I'd buy another tomorrow if I lost this.
Guest RussellS Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 I'm very happy with ICS. No reboots or force closes at all running Infusion B05. The only problem I can think of is the same as bladebuddy where caller display sometimes doesn't come up. The only problem is my contacts not always showing on a received call. Think I may have sorted it though. What do you think may have sorted it then.

The newer ICS roms are nice, and with oc they are very quick. My only issue is an occasionally freeze when switching wifi on. Battery pull is the only fix, I know. It happened on Infusion as well as 940, which I'm on now. But, technology is moving so fast in our day; so if I was buying now, then I'd be looking past the G300 and on towards the G330, the new Acer Liquid Gallant, or the Razr i
Guest Konstipated Kiwi Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 But, technology is moving so fast in our day; so if I was buying now, then I'd be looking past the G300 and on towards the G330, the new Acer Liquid Gallant, or the Razr i I know what you mean, but in terms of value for money none of those cost anything close to the £100 mark. The San Francisco and the G300 have been standouts over the last couple of years because of the relative performance they have offered at that price point. The Razr i is likely to cost over twice the price of the G300, is it not? As for ICS on the G300, I'm afraid I have yet to try it. I have never tried an ICS ROM on any device and am therefore ignorant as to what the fuss is about. I'd like to give it a go, but would have to go through the whole zero IMEI faff because I am on B888 and I have very limited time at the moment to be farting about with installation and getting accustomed to a new menu structure. Smoothness is the priority for me and I keep being put off trying ICS with reports of lag, juddering, force closes etc. Of course, I could potentially be one of those for whom ICS proves smooth, snappy and stable but I don't have the luxury of taking the risk at the mo. B888 does what I need smoothly and swiftly.
Guest fr0do Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) @ kiwi : I upgraded from 888 without touching my imei. Simply flash stock gb, middle package, then I flashed 927 (before Cwm to 936 NZ, and beyond lol :-)) . I honestly have no issues or slowness. The newer gapps in CS are much better. I went from 888 to 926, then after that its just a flash in cwm to go up to the newest version. I think the guide (GB->ICS) tells you how to back up your IMEI. I did that but never needed it. PS: Kiwi you are probably right about the Razr i, I was just dream'n about 2ghz... BTW, it looks like Tesco may sell it. Could get a good deal sometime with their vouchers and all
Guest spicasso Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 I am happy too, running 934 Stock without problems (dictionary solved ;-))
