network issues

ok so i have not long ago updated to B940 and one thing ive noticed is that besides the fact i cant get 3g (on any rom) is that i cant seem to get a stable network connection. seems as though it cuts out as soon as i lock the screen and just randomly at any time with it unlocked. not sure what this issue is but has anyone encountered this before? thanks

Edit: nevermind i figured out i need to have it set to 2g networks only, then i get a stable signal.
