Guest Al_1604 Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 Their response to my post on Facebook about the poor state of current ICS on G300: "Hi. Just to clarify Huawei UK's position on G 300 / ICS, following a number of comments today, both here and on other forums. The Android software updates recently posted on a Huawei website were not final versions of software for the G 300, and were not intended to be made available. They have been removed. An official ICS upgrade for G 300 customers in the UK is still being tested by Huawei and Vodafone UK. We are working with Vodafone UK to release the correct update as soon as possible. We will notify you of its availability here, as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience."
Guest Potatoes Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 I wouldn't get your hopes up in regards to improvements, I'm sure vodafone uk just hasn't gotten around to loading the rom up with their bloatware :P
Guest hyperfighting Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 Vodaphone/Huawei must be testing a super secret b9XX version that has not been leaked yet. I am hoping HW acceleration will be included... but what are the chances of that ? ;)
Guest Dazzozo Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 Low. It would've been done already. Disabled HWA is not a bug.
Guest FrankieADZ Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 i hope they bring it out soon, cant downgrade from the ICS England; tried the middle package and the Zero IMEI method aswell. better be able to update it over this version.
Guest Al_1604 Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 Just have to wait and see what they come up with, guess we won't know whether to be jubilant or disappointed until we see the promised release.

Guest ScutulatusCrotalus Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 Imo they should release a downgrade zip or something for All the people who flashed the withdrawn version and im hoping we can upgrade easily Why should they do it? I downgraded by zeroing IMEI , then downgraded to B934 , then middle package and back on Pauls B888 again . Restoring the IMEI copy i made from ICS would not work at all , kept rebooting to CWM . Luckily I had a copy of the IMEI from july ( aint got a clue what rom i was on ) and it worked . I know its not much help , but keep trying and you'll get there :)

Guest schkinx Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Th Was the problem restoring ics imei when returning to gb or 934 The ICS copy would not work on ICS or GB , but the GB copy worked on both . I say GB copy , because i'm sure i was still on a GB rom in july . Edited September 20, 2012 by schkinx
Guest Frankish Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 At least there is a manual imei method as a last resort too?
