Got a question for anyone in the US using the SPV with ATT GPRS network.I do connect to the msn and i can got my hot mail only one problem i can't connect to the mmode home page. Is that because it is wap or because the URL, Any body has the write URL or I need to change the GPRS setup.

I know a few people who are using the SPV in the States on AT&T, if you speak to their customer services they should have all of the details you need. If not try their website.

Was this SPV from Ebay or a gift ?

I am using AT-T. First off the settings are quirky, and I might not even have mine set correctly, but I have posted them here.

As far as the wap is concerned, it seems that the browser included is capable of WAP, but for some reason...when you try to load the address:

http://home or as suggested by others wsp://home

Nothing happens. I have yet to figure this out, and mMode is an integral part of the AT-T service, checking your email and usage stats etc etc.

i have try the WebWapSelect and still no go, its got to be an issue with IE not recognizing or having a DNS to resolve the above name on the network.

ATT GPRS works fine.....APN is 'proxy' with no username/password.

Jeff S,

Did you get WAP to work yet? Mmode specifically and also MMS.

I have MMS but not WAP to Mmode.

don't use MMS or WAP (why bother when i can send pics via e-mail and use HTTP)

Had a quick look for the AT&T WAP data.

It says on their site that the HLR allocates the APN therefore it's blank.

I haven't found any DNS adresses so far, therefore i've left them 0.0.0.0

Create proxy connection

Description : AWS WAP proxy

Connect from: The Internet

Connect to : WAP Network

Proxy (name:port): 010:250.250.250:9203

Type: WAP.

Create GPRS connection

Description: AWS WAP

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: (blank)

Username: (blank)

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

IP address: (blank)

in Data connections set WAP connection=ATT WAP.

In IE set connections tick auto detect.

Try and conenect to wsp://home

I'm not sure if this one's gonna work but its worth a try.

I got the info here

http://support.attwireless.com/awswls/supp...o_use_mmode.jsp

and here

Jeffs,

WAP is needed for Mmode stuff...because

Bill Review is on Mmode in WAP

Email is on Mmode in WAP

Location Services is in Mmode which is WAP

lotsa stuff

You must have no use for these items?

true

-i check my bill on my PC (why waste MB for that)

-use server sync to sync e-mail...don't use mmode mail

-don't need location based stuff until its useful

What server for syncing - MIS? I have been looking for an alternative to Office Online, which is what I currently have at my disposal.
