Guest tillaz Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 so, just looking for some info on this matter, a user reported that after the offical B936 update that they have the HSPA:11 network so i ask: 1. did you do an official update to B936 (not a flashable zip) using the update.app 2. tell us what it says in about phone / status MOBILE NETWORK TYPE (make sure you on the H network before checking) thanks ;)
Guest belmet Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 hspa 9 here on 936 England installed via sd card upgrade option in gb.
Guest Redflake Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Just wondering if this is operator dependant. ie the phone only shows the type of network its connected to. Not what it's capable of connecting to. So some may see hspa:9 even though the phone is capable of hspa:11

Still would be useful if users also said if they had HSPA 11 when they were on B926.

Guest popoyaya Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Went from B926 to Infusion, HSPA:11 (even with data off), Ovivo (vodafone)
Guest oldfella Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 B936 via update.app, HSPA9, Ovivo (vodafone)
Guest Hogweed Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 Those who say they have HSPA:11 on B936 (full install) - did you all restore an IMEI backup made under B926 by any chance? I am wondering if a flag might be set in B926 that is restored with an IMEI restore and enables latent support in B936. Just guessing but I have noticed a couple of people mentioning they had to use IMEI hack with the forced update to B936 and they have HSPA:11
Guest feckineejit Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 Updated from B927 to B936 using the forced update, and i'm on HSDPA: 9, on o2 network

Id never had any issues with 926 so i went back to it. Also worth mentioning while on 936 i tried reflashing it but it failed. Also had chinese splash screen. Maybe the update.app extracter ive seen in another thread may be useful in the future.
Guest save me Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 my phone says Edge:2 & I'm on Infusion B944 I updated from B926 to the S3 rom to Infusion & I'm on Ovivo (Vodafone) so why's the mobile Internet slower then everyone else's?
