New Update Tomorrow?

I emailed XOLO earlier in the week asking about the update and I received the following message on Tuesday:

Dear customer,

The ICS is expected to be launched by the End of September-2012 on our website www.xolo.in.

As tomorrow is the last business day in September, I am guessing the update will come tomorrow.

Interesting to note that they said it will be released on their website and not over the air. This is good news for OSD users!

They said they would release it in August. I wouldn't be surprised if they change their mind tomorrow and say October.

I wont be holding my breathe.

Some companies work saturday or even 24/7, so I would not count on tomorrow being the release date because it is friday, last day of work for most.

Not only Saturday, people in India often work half days on Sunday :P

Just out of interest I downloaded the Xolo update zip. Can anybody tell me, how can you tell what version of Android it is? I have no intention of installing it by the way.

It's 2.3.7. There is a thread on here to apply it if you want. You can probably kiss goodbye to your warranty though...

By the size, if it around the 200mb mark it is gingerbread, Ics will be alot bigger.
