Guest jonmac73 Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 Hi, currently running Swedish Spring RLS7. Happy overall but the Wi-Fi keeps dropping out at home and only seems to work when very close to router (partner's SE Neo and several laptops have no such issue). If I went to ISC / JB do they use different drivers that I could expect better reception with ? from anyone that knows the actual builds....... Thanks

Thanks if your wifi is broken, better drivers wont help. but, when o updated from 2.2 to 4.0 my wifi started to work better, and it worked if the wireless connection was very weak, blade didnt disconnect it, and i could use internet. so updating to isc woud be good decision, or if you like jb, wich is very smooth and STABLE :)
Guest jonmac73 Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 thanks Wi-Fi can be working fine in house with 2 bars, then will randomly drop out. Other times will autoconnect in the morning for example - other times it will take ages to connect, hence wondering if different drivers in ICS/JB that may improve things ....... Worth a try at least. what ICS / JB ROM are you using ? Which one is most stable & is it on par with SS ? Was planning on trying one of Kongsta as been pleased with SS.
Guest peetu20 Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 If you want ics you can use tilals coldfusion. Its the best and stablest ics. Or you can use paranoid ics. Paranoid ics have tablet ui and its nice but its your choice. Paranoid will work well too. I am using konstas jelly bean which is stable and smooth. And animations etc are very nice qnd better than ics. But wifi will really work better in ics/jb! It will not really drop out of range if you have only have one bar or none bar :) I am writing and sending this text with none bar. So i have veeery weak connection. Wheni used stock rom my blade dropped out with 2 or 3 bar range like your blade Updating to ics or jb will be recommended because developers had got hw acceleration working. System is very smooth and in example stock browser will run heavy sites very smoothly like opera. Dolphin will work smoothly too. And launcher etc will work very smoothly :) cconnection and blade will not drop out of range. When i used wifi with stock rom my blade really dropped out of range like your blade I recommend updating to ics or jelly bean because every
Guest jonmac73 Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Thanks for your reply - will backup current SS and try Kongsta's.
Guest Falipene Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I have the same problem, my Blade drops signal too easy (I have to stay close to the router). This is happening since latest CM7 builds and cm9 cm10. Brother's blade with cm7 don't have this problem.
Guest Forever5161117 Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 I am weak in english.can you answer in chinese?
Guest Snap.IT Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 If you want ics you can use tilals coldfusion. Its the best and stablest ics. If by best and stablest you mean outdated and unsupported then yeah, you're correct. It's been abandoned for months and won't ever be updated again, that means that all the fixes and improvements since are not present in that ROM. I honestly think that if you'd ask Tilal himself he'd tell you to use KonstaT's rom instead. However, no ICS is going to be as up to date as JB for obvious reasons.
Guest peetu20 Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 yes i know, i think konstas cm9 is faster than tilal cm9 too. cm10 is maybe little bit slower and laggy than ics roms. but i am still using cm10 because its more ram friendly than ics, so i get better multi tasking with cm10
