Cutomized skin / home screen

What i wanted for my home screen is to display a background picture without any icons or text, then after pressing a button, say the down key, the full home screen (with icons, carrier, date, sms, email) will display (with the same background picture --- or with the option of a different picture). Also, instead of showing the Most Recently Used icons, I was thinking maybe it would be better to show icons of my frequently used shortcuts

This is quite simpler that what i can download from the internet. and i'm sure many of you can do this. I myself do not know how to make one. I hope someone will be interested in making this and posting it here. thanks.... :wink:
