Guest xZaratustrAx Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) After ICS upgrade (B936 VDF PT), the phone keeps warning that it is out space altough there is almost 2Gb of free space. How do I erase both upgrade files from system partition - B895 and B936? Edited September 29, 2012 by xZaratustrAx

Hi mate ,just to let you know, I'm not sure of you already knew , ics default all storage to internal, go to storage and default to sd card.
Guest xZaratustrAx Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Ya. Doing it right now. Just thought that both upgrade installation files were not deleted automatically after installation.
Guest xZaratustrAx Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) Ok. It's working way better. Just moved all apps to SD, cleaned cache and the lag and the lack of space went away. :D Edited September 30, 2012 by xZaratustrAx
Guest alexslane Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Stupid ics doing what it wants to be honest ,when I get my pc sorted I'm going back to gb .
Guest BigEric Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Ok. It's working way better. Just moved all apps to SD, cleaned cache and the lag and the lack of space went away. xZaratustrAx, I just installed the official ICS rom and am suffering the same 'out of storage space' message although there's more than 1gb free on both internal and SD storage. I haven't understood what you did to fix the problem. Did you move *every* app to the SD card? How did you clear the cache? I've rebooted and even pulled the battery and SD card in desperation... Grateful for any help :-) E
Guest Alkapton Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Use /system/app mover application [free app] to move apps from system to sd - move things like chrome if its on the rom, the crap android calculator, any junk from vodaphone if it there, anything that is unimportant when phone starts up. Then delete unwanted ring tones etc. et volia you have room again.
Guest eLJay Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Is that an official update? Who from and how do I get it on there if it's Vodafone?

Anyway, the error is gone for the time being... :-) E
Guest BigEric Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Is that an official update? Who from and how do I get it on there if it's Vodafone? eLJay, I accidentally seem to have used the official Voda release which was then pulled again. All of the bugs/bloat with none of the gain... :-) All is not lost as it brought my baseband up to date so I can now move on from here but I guess I'll either install Infusion or the re-tested Voda release when it comes.
