I have posted in the galaxy forum but no help. SU chainfire is installed, Rom manager also installed, Did a install of cwm through this but rom manager but stock recovery is still on the ph. Trying to flash cwm through stock recovery shows Esigniture invalid. Opperation aborted. I read somewhere that i need to flash a kernell over stock but i cannot find the correct Kernell Kernell Version: 2.6.35.7-I9000TDOJV4-CL319152 root@DELL130#2 Build numb: Gingerbread.DOJV4 Baseband version I9000TDOJV4 Firmware version 2.3.3
Guest Dazzozo Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 If people had S2s they probably wouldn't have a G300. :P
Guest luvvt Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 i can confirm one thing, its certianly a lot harder than installing cwm on huawei. Also i now know all the methods that dont work :)

Guest luvvt Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) Cheers guys @tillaz, both those methods seem to be for ics. From what i now understand is that there are many variants of this phone and I am now looking at flashing a kernell via odin. The problem has been that i cannot find a kernell for my particular version Apparently this will flash su and cwm over the top of the original kernell. Question: as with our g300 we have to update our base band to ugrade from gb to ics. But reading through the forums at xda it seems they are flashing cwm.zip files to upgrdade (have i got that right ??) seems a little weird Edited October 1, 2012 by luvvt
Guest Redflake Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) Think your struggling to find the right roms and kernels, as it would seem the GT I9000T is a variant of the GT-i9000 Samsung Galaxy S and not the S2. The S2 is the GT-i9100. Check here Info Also check here SamFirmware and yes your right in thinking you need to flash a rooted kernel with Odin to get root and Clockwork Mod. You just need to find the right one. As the Galaxy S never got an update to ICS I think all the roms on XDA for it are Cyanagenmod based or AOKP. Edited October 1, 2012 by Redflake

Guest ej2095 Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Dude very easy. All you need is odin and a cwm locate Siyah kernal for the s2 and flash it follow all instructions for odin.
Guest luvvt Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Thanx Redflake, now 3 steps closer Have downloaded the original rom thats currently on the ph now for for good measure. As some posts suggest im am to find a kernell that is as close to version 2.3.3 gb and flash this to get su and cwm. Then any ics rom from xda for the galaxys
Guest Redflake Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 The I9000T isn't a Samsung Galaxy S II it's a variant of the original Galaxy S. So he needs a kernel for the galaxy S.
