Guest iceyd Posted October 3, 2012 Report Posted October 3, 2012 Hi guys, I'm currently with Virgin who share Orange and T-Mobile's signal and lately I cannot get strengths beyond GPRS regardless of my location (Previously I received HSDPA and 3G signals). Whilst I look into this issue I wish to eliminate as many potential causes for this as possible. I m currently using the ICS INFUSION rom and are on an unlimited internet tariff (from my understanding its uncapped unless I really go crazy which I certainly have not). I am wondering if this switch to EE LTE/4G is a possible reason for this also... Thanks
Guest kyan31 Posted October 3, 2012 Report Posted October 3, 2012 4G has nothing to do with it. Most phones, and including the G300 will never get 4G. Only 4G compatible phones will get it, and such as the Motorola atrix or the HTC one x +.

I'm no expert, but it does seem whenever they bring in new tech that uses previously used bandwidths, there is always a transition period, until the new tech (4G in this case) is fully implemented. Freeview was like that, remember? Edited October 4, 2012 by Colossae3.23
