HUAWEI Ascend G300 Open Source ICS kernel

Hi guys,

As I was checking Huawei website I have noticed new link posted today (18/10/2012) for ICS kernel source code for the G300 with a note that "this kernel file is just for ROM developers" !!

NOTE: this kernel file is just for ROM developers and do not used to upgrade your moblie phone as the firmware,which may make your phone totally dead.

I hope this will be the start for even better ROMs for our phone :)

It's 3.0.8 (Omegamoon and Dazzozo are both looking at creating newer kernels - i think 3.0.21?).

perhaps it has a fix for the wifi reboot issue...

Seems to be just another variation on a theme at the moment, though its probably the best kernel we have for this specific hardware (and you can also factor in that it was released today so is probably the newest).

At the moment it doesn't have what I'm asking for but they'll probably just attach it to an email.
