I suspect you are on gingerbread. It would be good to flash b927/6 first because the new ice base and is 2030, so update using an ota package of either b926 or b927 then move to infusion or whatever from you would like, you will need root and cwm for that.

What is the difference between infusion and stock ics you say? Well infusion is much slimmer faster, and has more UI tweaks and more enhancements added. Although it does contain bugs like any other rom.

If you are on gingerbread, I would just stay on it. It's a lot faster than any of the other roms out.
