Guest fr0do Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 I think I had a bad download of cwm. When I factory reset it took a good 10 minutes at formatting sd-ext, then the phone would reboot. Add several oddities (as you might expect) Re downloaded cwm and now I get an error: unable to mount sd-ext. I now only have my 16gb Sandisk card & no internal card. Clues to fix?
Guest tillaz Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 try and reformat your ext partition with the software you created it with, or remove it and create it again i normally use wizard partition http://www.modaco.com/topic/346620-link2sd-guide-updated-please-read/

Guest tillaz Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Thx. Do ppl format their internal SD card?? Oh wait... cwm internal card? i thought you meant the sd-ext ? this is the partition that you create for things like link2sd, if you have one it will format it, if not cwm will skip it the internal card is not touched when a full wipe is done
Guest tillaz Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Hmm.. windows exe? its legit, read the comments lol, you wont need it thought if you did not create an sd-ext partition... this tool is used because windows cant see ext partitions on sdcards you can format the internal card with the phone or windows
Guest yayane Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 I have a sd ext2 partition created with partition wizard and use CMW 5.0.28 final. CWM never couldn't mount the sd ext. I have to manually format the sd ext with partition wizard when I change the ROM. It appears with Infusion and Cyda's ROM. I have tried to format with ext3. Tried the last CWM 6. Format again the sd-ext. It is strange because this sd card and the sd ext works great with my old zte blade. So, what could I try ? Thanks
Guest fr0do Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Installed cwm 4 and that formatted it fine. Internal back now. Tried in 5 and it failed again. Sticking with 4 for now lol
Guest Kra1o5 Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 I recommended CWM 5.0.2.8 Final Normal version. Not internal & external sdcard version.
Guest grizzlyflea Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 noob question. but. can someone point me towards CWM 5 for the g300
