Guest CyanideDroid Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 I'm a huge noob regarding later versions of Android... can anyone help me out? Also, what can I do about battery life? It's very hit and miss.
Guest i am not a hacker Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Do upgrade to the latest version, go to settings, about phone, system updates, update OTA. Make sure you are connected to wifi. For battery, we haven't found a solution...
Guest shootomanUK Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 for battery you could always underclock the cpu, that would save power !

Guest Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Essential apps depends on what you personally see as essential, and only you know that. But for me the only essential app is rom toolbox pro, the first app I install and the most I use.

I have retained the 600 Mhz minimum speed; I read in another post that clock speed has little-to-no difference on battery life or speed, but I don't know - I'm pretty happy! ^_^ Can't wait to see the OSD with Jelly Bean (Project Butter)! :D I am also retaining the Ondemand Frequency Governor; after reading into it more I determined that this governor is probably the best for the Intel chip. "ROM Toolbox combines apps like Titanium Backup, ROM Manager, Root Explorer, SetCPU, Ad Blocker, MetaMorph, Autorun Manager, Terminal Emulator, Scripter, SD Boost, BuildProp Editor, Font Installer, Boot Animations & many more apps into an all-in-one app!" note that you do need root.

It's no good at making tea though.
Guest BlueMoonRising Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 You need the pro version for that.
