its because the G300 stock roms lack the bluetooth HID profile... like most other phones :(

I was trying to get this working yesterday, but as has already been said it's not compatible.

They do say you may have success with a CyanogenMod Rom, anyone got one installed and willing to try this out?

I tried the compatibility test and it said phone compatible but was not at home to test. I am on cm9

CM has the HID profile, so it will work

CM9 test available on IRC freenode #huawei-g300

Works great for some. Others have 3g or wifi probs. Worth a try.
