Rooted and installed clockwork mod, can't turn off phone when charging

Hi, I followed the instructions in the pinned guide 'explained like you are 5'

Now, if I try to charge my phone when it is turned off, it turns back on and launches straight into clockwork recovery.

I find this annoying, can anyone help with how to fix this?

You need to get the newer version of clockwork mod installed.

Install the version 5 that is linked in my signature.
