Guest jcat Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Hi, I've previously posted this topic... I'm sure this has been talked about already, but when I tried to search I got so many posts it would have taken ages to sift through them. After the Orange ROM update my SVP bootloader has had most of the functionality removed except for Erase IPSM (and obviously booting windows). All I want to do is backup the phone onto an MMC or SD card, is there a work arround for this, or will I have to do a serial backup with MTTY. Or has anyone managed to do a USB backup with MTTY? " And was referred to this thread... http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=3963 But web page that is referred to in the thread as having the instructions no longer contains the info (or I can't seem to find it). So could someone please post some simple intructions on how to backup/restore full or parts of the SPV ROM, preferably onto SD card but but using USB mtty to a file on a pc would also be ok (if it's even possible). I would be extremely grateful. Cheers, jcat

Guest jcat Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Hi Richie, Thanks for the speedy reply. I know you said you didnt have time to write a Tutorial but I'm a little confused, is USBTERM something that I can download from somewhere, or is it part of the Windows for Smartphone SDK, or is it part of windows, or is it on SPV already? I'm really starting from scratch here, practically a newbie  Thanks mate, jcat
Guest jcat Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Sorry Richie, Dont worry about it, I didn't see the thread coninued to another page or 4. Now I'm even more embarresed    Thanks for the help anyway, I may post again if I get stupidly stuck... Cheers, jcat
