How to fully backup my stock rom?

Guys, I got my G300 a few days ago, bought an unlock code that worked just fine, so now I'm ready for customizing. :)

What's the best way to back up my stock rom, and I don't mean to root it, install CWM and make backup? I would like to backup all partitions, including original recovery, just in case I need to claim my warranty.

Root it, install CWM and make backup.

Flash original recovery if you need to make a claim

Thanks for reply, so I guess stock recovery is the same for any stock rom, right? Is there a flashable version for CMW anywhere on forum?

Is it correct to say that it (recovery.img) can be extracted using adb connecting to a Y300 with the original recovery still installed?

If we have update.app we don't want to fear about stock recovery.

NO! NO! NO! This recovery is made for the G300! Not the Y300!  :wacko:

 

I don't understand your point?

The original poster asked about restoring the Y300 recovery image - but would need that image backed up to do that.

I asked if it was possible to use fastboot  (or adb?!?) to extract the stock recovery (the "3e" one) so that it could be later restored if necessary.

Is that not possible?

I'm not talking about using any G300 tools or images (e.g. recovery) on the Y300.
